When he passed away he was less than two month shy of hundred years. One of his quotes, la vida es tan corta y el oficio de vivir tan dificil , que cuando uno empieza a aprenderlo, ya hay que morirse. Author, visual artist, and physicist, left us three novels (El Túnel, 1948; Sobre héroes y tumbas, 1961; Abaddón el exterminador, 1974) and essays covering metaphysics, politics, and tango.
